A few months ago I purchased a Message Bible. This Bible is different because it is written in today's language and is not split up in verses. This way, the book flows and can be read easier. I am really really enjoying reading the Scripture this way. It really has more of an impact when it is easier to understand. Here is a great verse that I came upon during my reading.

I look up at Your macro-skies, dark and enormous, Your handmade sky-jewelry,
moon and stars mounted in their settings. Then I look at my micro-self and

lock out

So, its the day before Valentine's Day. Woopeee (sarcastic groan)! Tonight as most people go off to be with their significant others, I am going to lock-out at our church. Here are the activities of the night:

-Grits concert (Grits is a Christian rap group, who are extremely well known)
-Movie theatre...I have no idea what movie we will actually be seeing. That is always the secret of the night, I hope it is good though.
-Stars and Strikes!! Stars and Strikes is like Chuck E. Cheese for teenagers/adults. It has all kinds of fun video games, laser tag, bumper cars, and a bowling alley. This is the part of the night I am looking foward to most. We will be there from 2am-7am!! : )

I hope I dont fall asleep....haha. I will upload some pics of my fun-filled night later on this weekend.

So I recently came upon a website, that I think is definately worth sharing. It made me laugh hysterically, which made my day. It is just a website with a a bunch of videos, pictures, and quotes that show how dumb some people can be, and the weird things that happen on a daily basis. (there are also a lot of misspelled tatoos, haha)

update

Well its February! Wow, last month flew by so fast. Sorry I havent blogged lately, its not from a lack of time...just a lack of things happening to blog about. Well, there have been a few things, and here's a quick update:
-I have been driving around a lot, since I have my license (finally!).
-I spent some much needed hang-out time with my best friend, and met some of her new friends from her school. She goes to school in the country(boonies, haha) and her friends were quite hilarious.
-I finally went to see my new baby cousin, Abigail Nicole. She is so precious and tiny!

-I am quite excited about our church youth group's lock out. We stay up all night going places and return about 7 am. This year's activities are going to awesome. That is happening on February 13th!!
-I have been avoiding phone calls from a guy who got my number. I feel so bad not answering, but oh well. haha.
-I have a huge thesis paper that is late on the Fair Tax, but I haven't even begun to write it.
-I am in need of a new book to read, I may go buy one today.

Screwed up pretty bad at parallel parking, but besides that I did well.

: )

January 27th is my driving test to get my license. I am so completely excited and very nervous.
Be sure to pray extra hard for me on that day.
Now....I just need to learn how to parallel park. uh-oh.
